A weather system northeast of the Big Island may bring an increased chance of showers tonight.

Sunny weather today may turn rainy tonight as unstable weather conditions continue over the state, especially the Big Island.

Temperatures will continue to be cool overnight, dipping into the 50s on some nights this week.

A wind advisory is in effect for the Big Island slopes, where gusts of up to 50 mph may blow in Kailua-Kona, Miloliii, South Point, Pahala, Hilo, Volcano, Honokaa, Kamuela, Waikoloa, Bradshaw Field, and Saddle Road above 5,000 feet.

A weather system northeast of the Big Island may move closer to the islands tonight, bringing an increased chance of rain.

The forecast for Honolulu calls for mostly sunny skies today, but scattered showers and a 50 percent chance of rain tonight and Wednesday.

Skies are expected to clear Thursday and Friday.

But another weather system may bring muggy Kona weather, vog and rain this weekend.
