Police ask for public’s help finding Big Isle man, daughter

    Hawaii County police are requesting the public's help in locating a 7-month-old girl and her father, Eli Jonathan Evans, from Pahoa.

Hawaii County police are requesting the public’s help in locating a 7-month-old girl and her 34-year-old father from Pahoa. 

Police said that on Monday night a 37-year-old Pahoa woman reported that her estranged husband had removed their infant daughter from the home of a relative, claiming that he was heading to Kona. He has not been seen since. 

Eli Jonathan Evans is described as a Caucasian, about 6-foot-1 about 185-190 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes. He may be operating a silver sedan but police have yet to confirm this information. 

Jasmine is described as a Caucasian girl with blond hair and blue eyes, about 24-26 inches long and about 15 pounds. 

The case has been classified as a missing persons case.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona.
