Most romantic restaurant ranking names 7 in isles
The view from Sarento's Top of the 'I.' Diners using online reservations and review service OpenTable.com have rated 10 Hawaii restaurants among the 100 most-romantic in the U.S.
The annual OpenTable.com list of the top 100 Most Romantic Restaurants in America includes seven Hawaii fine-dining venues.
Hawaii restaurants on the list are La Mer at Halekulani, Michel’s at the Colony Surf and Sarento’s Top of the ‘I’ in Honolulu, Brown’s Beach House at The Fairmont Orchid on the Kohala Coast and ‘Ulu Ocean Grill and Sushi Lounge in Kaupulehu on Hawaii island, Ferraro’s Bar e Ristorante Maui in Wailea, and Tidepools at the Grand Hyatt Kauai in Poipu.
The list is not offered in ranked order by OpenTable.com, and while Hawaii, Texas, and Virginia each have seven winning restaurants, Florida has eight, and California boasts the most restaurants on the list, at 14.
Restaurants in other markets don’t shy away from leveraging the cachet of Hawaii, such as list-maker Hawaii Cafe Central in El Paso, Texas.
OpenTable.com compiled the list based on more than 5 million reviews of nearly 19,000 restaurants across the U.S.
The list is always released prior to Valentine’s Day, one of the restaurant industry’s busiest nights.
