Hawaii debuts on Travelocity spring break list

Two Hawaii destinations have made their first-ever appearances on the Top 10 spring break list released by Travelocity.com

The travel site ranks Maui at No. 9 and Honolulu at No. 10 on its annual list of destination choices.

Topping the Travelocity list for the third year is the South Florida area, at No. 2 is the Orlando area, with the Phoenix area at No. 3.

The rest of the top 10 are Fort Myers, Fla., No. 5, Las Vegas, Cancun, Mexico, the Los Angeles area, and at No. 8, the combined Tampa-St. Petersburg area of Florida.

Travelocity reports a 14.7 percent increase in domestic airfare year-over-year, while international airfare for spring break is essentially flat, at a .1 percent decrease.
