The Hawaii Health Connector is working with the Sovereign Councils of the Hawaiian Homelands Assembly to reach out to Native Hawaiians who may not have health coverage.

Health Connector Program Manager Anela McAfee-Torco says that Native Hawaiians experience significant health disparities.

Chairman Kamaki Kanahele of the Hawaiian Homelands Assembly says helping their neighbors with health care advances the health and self-determination of Native Hawaiian people.
