Teenage skateboarder hit on Salt Lake Boulevard

A stretch of Salt Lake Boulevard eastbound was closed on Thursday afternoon after a 13-year-old male pedestrian was struck.
Police have reopened Salt Lake Boulevard in the eastbound direction from Pakini Street after a skateboarder was hit by an SUV.
The road was closed after a 13-year-old male was injured about 4:30 p.m. Police said the boy crossed the street against the red light and was hit by a Dodge Durango.
The Emergency Medical Services Division reported the boy in critical condition.
No further information was immediately available.
