Evan Strong unveils his Wheaties box at a ceremony.

Snowboard cross champion Evan Strong will be the first elite para-Olympian to appear on boxes of Wheaties cereal.

Strong, an athlete from Hawaii now based in Nevada City, Calif., was an athletic youth and got his first skateboarding sponsorship at age 13. He lost his left leg in a traffic accident at age 17 but since, with the help of the Challenged Athletes Foundation, has renewed his athletic endeavors and won gold in the Sochi 2014 Paralympic games.

Strong, and fellow American Champions Mikaela Shiffrin and Sage Kotsenburg will appear on limited-edition Wheaties boxes scheduled to hit store shelves this spring.
