Skies were gray and roads were wet on Kilani Ave. in Wahiawa Wednesday morning.

A flood advisory for Oahu expired at 7 a.m. after heavy rains eased Wednesday morning.

But forecasters still expect more rain through mid-morning.

The area of heavy rain was nearly stationary at 4 a.m., dropping rain at a rate of about 3 inches per hour.

The National Weather Service expects an increased chance of showers, mostly in windward and mauka areas, on Oahu, Kauai and Molokai.

An area of moisture west of the islands is responsible for the rains, forecasters said. The wet weather should pass the islands by Wednesday night.
