A hunter on Thursday discovered human remains at an abandoned camp site near Twin Falls on Maui.
Maui police said after finding the skeletal remains, the local hunter left the area and reported what he found to police late Thursday. The hunter helped authorities locate the site.
Police said age or gender of the victim could not be determined. The cause of death is pending further investigation.
