Fisherman’s wharf faces its final days

The once-popular Fisherman’s Wharf restaurant, above, is now a target for graffiti. The Office of Hawaiian Affairs plans to get rid of the two-story building to make way for development in the area.

The restaurant’s second-floor Mermaid Bar, shown in 1959, was named for the impressionistic stained-glass mermaid window built into its mauka wall. The glass came from the old Elks Club building.
