  • Gerime Bradley is charged with manslaughter in the death of Melvin Howard near his home on Komana St. at about 12:35 a.m.

An 18-year-old Kalihi man has been charged with beating and killing a 38-year-old man in Ewa Beach on March 23.

Gerime Bradley is charged with manslaughter in the death of Melvin Howard near his home on Komana St. at about 12:35 a.m.

His bail is set at $200,000.

Police believe Bradley was one of three men who attacked Howard.

Bradley is accused of kicking the victim in the chest and taking a photo of his limp body with a cellphone.

The men fled in a black or dark-colored sedan on Komana Street toward Pailani Street. Howard sustained head and body injuries and was taken in critical condition to the hospital, where he later died.

Police arrested Bradley on Saturday on suspicion of second-degree murder.

A neighbor said Howard was drinking on the night of the attack and was yelling and banging on one of his family’s cars.
