Moped driver dies after collision with truck

A 24-year-old woman died Sunday afternoon after her moped collided with a truck near Turtle Bay, according to police.

The accident happened just after 2 p.m., according to the Hono-lulu Police Department’s online traffic log.

Police said the woman, a visitor from Colorado, entered the opposite lane of traffic while attempting to turn onto Kamehameha Highway from Kuilima Drive and collided with a delivery truck.

She was transported in critical condition to an area hospital, where she later died.
