Board of Water Supply crews finished repairs on an 8-inch watermain break on Akaula Street in Makakilo overnight.

Akaula Street, between Akaula Place and Akaawa Street, reopened by about 4:30 a.m. after crews finished repairs to the road and pipe.

The Board of Water Supply said service was restored to 26 customers, whose water was cut off, by 11 p.m. Monday.

The break happened Monday around 2 p.m.

The 8-inch main was originally installed in 1964, the BWS said.
