Suspicious driving leads to car-theft arrest

A 44-year-old Kaimuki man was arrested early Saturday morning after his suspicious driving drew the attention of a police officer.

According to police, the officer was responding to a report of “suspicious circumstances” in the area of Ahana Street and Liona Street near Keeaumoku when he saw the suspect abruptly pull over and park the vehicle.

The officer checked the vehicle’s license plate and discovered that the vehicle had been reported stolen.

The suspect was arrested on suspicion of unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle.
