Police arrested a 24-year-old homeless man Saturday evening after he allegedly robbed a business in Pearl City with a weapon, Honolulu police said.

The man allegedly used force and a dangerous instrument while attempting to rob a Waimano business around 5 p.m., according to police records. He fled the area but officers located him 20 minutes later near the Pearl City Shopping Center on Kamehameha Highway, police said.

Officers arrested the man, who has no local address, on suspicion of first-degree robbery, resisting arrest, third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug and having drug paraphernalia, according to police records.
