Kamehameha, Nanakuli take top seeds state softball tournaments

Kamehameha (12-3) earned the top seed for the Data House/HHSAA Softball State Championships. Mililani (12-3) is seeded second, Baldwin (14-0) is third, and Hilo (14-0) fourth. All seeded teams earned a first-round bye.

First-round games begin Tuesday at Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium with Waianae playing Leilehua at 1 p.m., Campbell vs. Lahainaluna at 3 p.m., Pearl City vs. Maryknoll at 5 p.m. and Moanalua vs. Mid-Pacific at 7 p.m. The championship game is set for Friday at 7 p.m.

In the Division II bracket, Nanakuli (15-0) is seeded first, followed by Waimea, Kamehameha-Hawaii (12-2) and Molokai (9-3). First-round games begin Tuesday at Central Oahu Regional Park with Konawaena-Waialua and McKinley-Kapaa both at 5 p.m. and St. Francis-Kapaa and Aiea-Lanai both at 7 p.m. The championship is Friday at 5 p.m. at Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium.
