Matthew Chung was indicted Thursday in a Kapolei shooting.

An Oahu grand jury returned an indictment Thursday charging a 24-year-old man with a shooting last month in Kapolei that seriously injured a 23-year-old man.

Matthew K. Chung, Kapolei, was charged with second-degree attempted murder and two firearm-related charges.

The indictment identified the victim as Shylo Quemado-Moniz.

Police said Quemado-Moniz was shot in the chest and arms about 4 p.m. April 26. A friend took Quemado-Moniz to the hospital in serious condition.
