Bidding farewell to a Hokule'a crew member

Noelani Kamalu, a secondary mathematics teacher at Hālau Kū Māna Public Charter School in Makiki, was chosen as a crew member for the first leg of the Hōkūle‘a voyage from Hawai‘i to Tahiti. The canoes will embark on May 17. Students, faculty and family bid farewell to Kamalu with oli and lei.
