Prosecutors will not pursue manslaughter charges against a 20-year-old man who was involved in an altercation that resulted in the death of a 58-year-old man.

Daniel Moon died five days after what police are calling a “mutual physical altercation” with the man.

The fight occurred around 9:35 p.m. on Friday in the Makiki area.

Moon also hit a passenger in a car during the altercation and was uncooperative with investigators at the scene, police said.

Moon suffered head injuries in the fight and was transported in serious condition to an area hospital, where he died on Wednesday.

Police opened a  manslaughter investigation after Moon’s death. On Saturday, the prosecutor’s office formally declined to pursue charges against the 20-year-old man.
