HANA, Hawaii (AP) — Authorities in Maui say a Texas woman died after falling 15 to 20 foot down a ledge onto rocks at Haleakala National Park.
Police and fire officials say 55-year-old Cheryl Black of McKinney, Texas sustained severe head trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene Thursday.
The Maui News reports (http://bit.ly/1y2L8lp) Black was trying to get to another pool at Oheo Gulch in the park’s Kipahulu District when she fell.
