Wrestling coach gets 6 months in jail for sex assault on girl

    State wrestling tournament organizer Keith Matsumoto was found guilty today of third-degree sexual assault for groping a female wrestler during a 2012 tournament.

Wrestling coach Keith T. Matsumoto was sentenced to six months in jail for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old female wrestler.

A state jury found the longtime wrestling coach and coordinator of the state high school wrestling championships guilty in February of third-degree sexual assault for molesting the 14-year-old girl during the 2012 Aloha State Games wrestling tournament at Farrington High School.

Matsumoto, 56, faced a maximum five-year prison term.
