2 Oahu crashes send bicyclists to hospital with serious injuries


Two bicyclists apparently struck by motor vehicles in separate accidents on Oahu within less than an hour apart were listed in serious condition Tuesday, according to Honolulu Emergency Medical Services.

A 35-year-old man, injured in Kaneohe, and 20-year-old man seriously hurt near McCully were taken to trauma hospitals, EMS said.

One accident occurred at 4 p.m. at Hulakai Place and Kaneohe Bay Drive.

Another bicyclist was struck at 4:30 p.m. at Metcalf and McCully streets.
