A 31-year-old man is being investigated for the Wednesday robbery of the American Savings Bank branch in the Keeaumoku Walmart hours after he was released by police for a robbery in Ewa Beach.

Police said the man was arrested at 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday at the Queen’s Medical Center for allegedly robbing a 36-year-old woman at 10:43 a.m. on Tuesday at an Ewa Beach business establishment.

Police said a suspect passed a note to the woman. Police declined to say what kind of business it was.

Police released him that day pending further investigation.

The man then allegedly robbed the American Savings Bank branch inside the Walmart on Keeaumoku Street at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said he fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and police arrested him at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Ewa Beach on suspicion of second-degree robbery.

The man has not been charged in either case.
