A 42-year-old Oahu Community Correctional Center inmate is back behind bars on Friday after being free for more than three months.

Jonathan Singh was on a work furlough in April and never returned to the prison.

Singh was finally captured just after 7:30 p.m. on Thursday near Kahuku Hospital after a prison official saw him near a bus stop and reported it.

Singh was serving time for auto theft and unauthorized possession of confidential personal information.   

He was arrested for second-degree escape, which could add five years to his sentence if he is convicted.
