Rosey, one of the two female hippopotamuses at the Honolulu Zoo, was found dead of unknown causes on Friday morning, according to the Honolulu mayor’s office. She was 25 years old and weighed around 3,000 pounds.

The hippopotamus exhibit at the zoo will remain closed indefinitely while Rosey’s body is removed. A necropsy to determine the cause of death was scheduled for next week.
