St. Louis Heights house fire leaves one man injured

A man was taken to the hospital on Sunday morning after his St. Louis Heights home caught on fire, Honolulu Fire Department officials said.

Firefighters responded to 1463 Pule Place at 7:33 a.m. and had the fire under control at 7:56 a.m.

The fire was completely extinguished at 9:28 a.m.

Two people live in the house but only one occupant, a man in his 60s, was home at the time of the fire.  He was transported by EMS for injuries to his hand.

The house is considered to be a total loss, officials said.

The cause, origin, and damage estimate are still being investigated.

No other injuries were reported.
