Board of Water Supply crews finished repairs on a broken 6-inch pipe that supplies water to the Ambassador Hotel on Namahana Street in Waikiki.
The break was reported at 2 a.m. and the lateral main was fixed by about 3:30 p.m. Workers should be able to finish repairs to Namahana Street and be off the road by about 5:30 p.m.
Namahana Street was closed between Kuhio Ave. and Ala Wai Blvd and reopened around noon.
Water service to the Ambassador Hotel continued after crews were able to bypass the pipe.
