GLENDORA, Calif. » A wildfire has burned about 70 acres of brush in the Angeles National Forest but so far no homes or buildings are threatened.

A forest spokesman, John Wagner, says the fire was reported shortly before 1 p.m. Thursday above the foothill city of Glendora northeast of Los Angeles.

Two firefighters suffered heat-related injuries while battling the flames in hot, dry weather.

The fire is burning in a steep, remote area.

There’s no word on what sparked the blaze.
