Man charged with assault of cab driver in Waikiki


Authorities charged a 27-year-old man was charged Monday for allegedly punching a cab driver in the face in Waikiki.

Jarrett Moore is charged with inference with a public transit vehicle. His bail was set at $30,000.

Police said that the incident occurred at 2:59 a.m. Sunday when the suspect’s girlfriend jumped into the cab after Moore allegedly physically assaulted her. Police said Moore got into his vehicle, cut the cab driver off, opened the cab driver’s door, and assaulted the driver.
