SANTA CLARA, Calif. >> San Diego Chargers defensive tackle Kwame Geathers has been carted off the field midway through the first quarter of Sunday’s preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Geathers wound up at the bottom of a pileup of several bodies and on his back when his helmet appeared to snap backward and hit the turf. There was no immediate update on his injury.
He was sitting up while being taken to the locker room.
