Police and corrections officials are investigating a report that a Halawa Correctional Facility inmate sexually assaulted another inmate.
The incident occurred on Aug. 21 at the Halawa facility, according to police and corrections officials.
The police report said the suspect is 26 years old and the alleged victim is 43. The case has been classified as second-degree sexual assault.
The suspect has not been arrested.
