A 38-year-old man died Saturday after becoming unconscious while in the ocean at Malaekahana Beach State Park in Laie, authorities said.
Paramedics picked the man up at the beach and took him to the hospital in extremely critical condition about 3 p.m., an Emergency Medical Services report said.
Police said the man died at the hospital. Foul play is not suspected.
