LAS VEGAS >> The Las Vegas Strip’s largest hotel-casino operator has officially started charging for parking.

MGM Resorts International’s game-changing move to end the long-held entitlement in Sin City began rolling out on Monday.

The Aria, Vdara, New York-New York, Monte Carlo, Excalibur, Luxor and Circus Circus resorts now have fees to park on site.

MGM Grand and Bellagio will join the list on Wednesday, and the Mandalay Bay, Delano and The Mirage will be on board on Monday.

The per-day fees range from $8 to $10 for self-parking and $13 to $18 for valet parking.

Nevadans will get a break through Dec. 29 with free-self parking for up to 24 hours. To get the benefit, drivers will have to scan their driver’s license at the gate.

Downtown Honolulu parking is must higher. Ampco Parking fees at the Bishop Square – Pauahi Tower parking is — $5 per each 30 minutes or $10 per hour. And no gambling allowed!

I wouldn’t go to this place ever again. They are a bunch of money grubbers who want every penny you have.

Please tell me a gambling operation in Vegas that’s not a money grubber.

      • justmyview371 says:

Yes, but why are they nickel and diming us all the time. A casino I stayed at previously even wanted to charge guests for wheelchair rental!

        • oxtail01 says:

Why do you insist on calling this nickel and diming when every slot machine in Vegas is programmed to nickel and dime you out of your money along with Keno and almost everything else?

  4. Oahuan says:

Screw them. What not enough that they take my gambling money that they want to bleed me dry too? I normally stay at Flamingo anyway. And if and when the Harrah Group starts charging for parking too I’m heading for Red Rock or the M Resort.
