Dead last in the preseason is a good place to start.
Well, at least we don’t have to see whose behind us. Only one way to go playUP Warriors.
I think its the right place for UH to be in considering that they really have no Div. 1 QB nor anyone except Kennedy, if he returns, that can play Div. 1 ball…..everybody else on the team is just Div 11….nothing more and nothing less.
There is no “Div 11”. Just proves you’re nothing but a troll who knows absolutely squat about football. If you were to say they have no NFL prospects besides KT, that’s entirely debatable (even if wrong). To say they have nobody else who is FBS-quality is completely id!otic.
WOULD LIKE DEFINITIONS OF A “TROLL”, AND A “LURKER”, ANYBODY…THANKS.
Division 11 simply means Division 2….any person with a common sense of sports would know that I meant Div. 2 but your mind wondered into idiocy..nothing more and nothing less.
UH’s preseason ranking is not surprising…it’s how we do when the season starts that counts.
Yep, new offense and new defense. We know Rolo has been a part of good offensive teams here and in Utah. Don’t expect the Championship but guess we won’t be last.
I think UH will surprise a few pundits…..GoBows!
Is this a surprise to anyone? While the football program was being dessimated by the clueless one and his brethrens of a certain sect, SA three amigos led by Tsai was trumpetting every year how “talent” was improving. Where’s all that talent now? Notice how timid Tsai is on writing about player talent now? In spite of all this, I still believe UH will finish better than last. The conference isn’t really that good and if there’s even a semblance of an adequate QB play, UH should win at least 2 conference games. Lot of the conference games we lost in the last few years was not because our players were so much worse then other teams but mostly because the coaching was the worst in the nation. It’s doubtful Rolo is as bad, in fact, I think it’s a huge improvement that will lead to better overall play on the field.
Simply changing of the coach doesn’t raise the status of a football team.
Rankers look at the individual players on a team before they rank a team.
I’m not sure these football magazines that predict our Warrior football team will stay in the celler like they have been these last three or four years. Somebody have to tell them, Norm Chow is not here anymore.
Even with our new football staff and new rookie head football coach, Nick Rolovich, I really believe they will escape the celler this year. In fact I predict they will win enough games to be invited to this year’s Sheraton Hawaii Bowl at Aloha Stadium
But the football magazine I really respect is “Phil Steele” football magazine. Just about every year his prediction is on target or close to it. His magazine should hit the newstand this month or early in July.
We have a lot of starters from Norm Chow’s 2015 Warrior team returning. Now that we have a “real football coach”, our Warriors will do just fine.
Remember back in 1998 or 99. In June Jones first year, he inherited a Fred VonAppen team that went 0-19 in two years. JJ took the returning starters, developed them, and ended the season with 9 wins and 4 losses. I believe the losses were close. Rolo can do the same with Norm chow starters and backups.
The football magazines that are on the street now and predicted our Warriors will not escape the celler will have more motivation for our Warriors who are summer training now and moreso when fall camp opens.
Dream on. Look at what our inexperience HC got coaching the QB.
Not a surprise, but I think we can do at least one better than the cellar.
The advantage of being ranked last is that there is only one way to go, and that is Up! No miracles can be expected, but this coming season has to be an improvement over the last few years. Give Rolovich and staff the benefit of the doubt; come out to the Stadium and support our Warriors! It will take a few years, talent, and a lot of Heart to bring the Hawaii program back to respectability. Go Bows!
