Honolulu police reopened Kalia Road in Waikiki between Ala Moana Boulevard and the Hale Koa hotel after being closed for over two hours due to a small fire.
Fire officials said a small smoldering fire was reported coming from the roof of the second floor mezzanine level of the Hilton Hawaiian Village Hotel. Fire officials said smoke was coming from a generator exhaust system on the roof near the Tapa Tower.
Police announced the road closure just before 2 p.m.
At 4:30 p.m., police said traffic had returned to normal.
