Do you even follow the team? Go watch the games once in a while before you spew stuff like that.
Why do you think he’s wrong? His assessment has as much merit as anyone else. So far this season, UH has shown no ability to beat any top teams, with inability to close out close games and inconsistent play from all hitters except Taylor. In fact, without Taylor, they are a team that will be lucky to be in the top 30. Now, go and watch some games without drinking so much Shogun koolaid.
Krusha is part of the self-proclaimed wahine loyalty police who cast free commentators into the irredeemable, les deplores basket.
Take the terminator away from any top 25 team and how good would they be? So what’s your point? In fact, how many of those top players can hit, serve, block and serve as well as Nikki? You’re just a hater who thinks that some big name coach will magically want to come to UH, which means he or she will definitely get bunches of top 50 recruits. Too bad you don’t live in the real world. Fact is, the Wahine went four games with Wisconsin without Nikki or Annie. A completely healthy Wahine team probably would be undefeated right now.
Hey, little boy, most top teams have more than one terminator and don’t depend on undersized outside hitters to compensate for a missing star. As for coaches, there will be a ton of them knocking down the door for a chance to coach here. You do realize that Shogun is one of the highest paid women’s volleyball coaches, don’t you? Fact is, could have, should have don’t matter and fact is the team blew games with errors at crucial times. Reality check? You need one.
My initial comments were moderated then deleted. Oh, well, let me try again and say that Nikki is the heart and soul of the UH Wahines and her play is consistently top rated and her outstanding stats this past weekend only goes to prove that she deserves to be POW as was the case several times last year. Have you, Commando1, ever gone to one of the Wahine games and see Nikki give her heart and soul out there with all her hits, digs, etc….Without her, the Wahines would be struggling and this past weekend, Nikki certainly deserve to be awarded POW based on her performance. Nothing more and nothing less.
The UH Wahine Volleyball team without Nikki Taylor runs as smoothly as I. Woosley in the Norm Chow’s offense.
Overrated? The ranking is established weekly by AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches Association) committees in each respective division around the country. I think the AVCA has established credibility in their sport.
If we go by rankings, why play at all. Just give the national title to #1.
With all players healthy the Wahine will be in the post season. This will be a year that they will get to the final four. With the talent and pieces coming together, they may win it all. National Champs!!!
Four years ago i predicted that Shoji will never win another championship. Earlier this year i also predicted that with all the injuries they will be lucky to make it to post season because i think the Big West is getting better, however from what i see now they may make it to post season but as far as a championship i doubt it. I’d like to be proven wrong though. No matter what i still support the ladies..
Bumby, I share your optimism. Nikki, Annie, Mags, Iosia, and Kahakai can stack up against anybody in the country..Add Greeley, Higgins, Emma, Sibley, Granato, Castillo, Burns, Ross, Ponce, and Anderson and we have one of the best lineups ever. Everyone on our bench would be starters at division 1 schools elsewhere. The key, as you say, is for everyone to stay healthy. Go Bows!
