Washington linebacker Psalm Wooching celebrated after he sacked Stanford quarterback Ryan Burns in the first half, Friday, in Seattle.

Kealakehe High graduate Psalm Wooching is raking in the awards after helping to lead unbeaten Washington to a 44-6 victory over Stanford Saturday.

He was named the National Defensive Player of the Week by the Walter Camp Foundation after recording three sacks. Today he was also announced as the Pac-12 Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

Wooching, a senior outside linebacker, had six total tackles and forced a fumble.

Until the UW game, the Cardinal had allowed just four stacks in three games.
