Lanai’s lucky this woman finds her joy giving kokua

    Soledad “Sue” Obado and her granddaughter Dolleen Obado Keola posed for a photo at Starbucks in Waimalu the day after Thanksgiving. Obado was one of the founders of the Lanai Food Pantry in the 1970s and has run the operation as a volunteer ever since. Keola helped out this year with the pre-holiday work at the pantry, under Grandma Sue’s direction.
