A man was taken to a trauma hospital in critical condition after he fell 20 feet from a residential apartment building in Waikiki.

At about 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Emergency Medical Services reported paramedics responded to a man, described to be about 40 to 50 years old, who suffered head injuries from the fall from the building at 421 Seaside Ave.

Honolulu Fire Spokesman Capt. David Jenkins said the man fell from the second-story roof of the structure.

Paramedics administered advanced life support before transporting him to the hospital.
