Madonna performs on stage during the Women’s March rally. Madonna, Julia Roberts, Scarlett Johansson, Cher, Alicia Keys, Katy Perry, Emma Watson, Amy Schumer, Jake Gyllenhaal and feminist leader Gloria Steinem were just some of those Hollywood A-list celebrities in attendance at the march in Washington.

NEW YORK >> Madonna is defending her fiery, expletive-laden speech at the women’s march, saying her words were “taken wildly out of context.”

The singer said at the Washington, D.C., march Saturday that she had at times been angry after the election and had thought “an awful lot about blowing up the White House.”

In a statement Sunday on Instagram , Madonna said she was trying to express there are two ways to respond to Donald Trump’s election: with hope or with outrage. She said she hopes to effect change “with love.”

Madonna wrote that she doesn’t promote violence and people should listen to her speech “in its entirety rather than one phrase taken wildly out of context.”

Cable news networks broadcasting her speech cut away after Madonna used several expletives. MSNBC later apologized.

I marched in front of Ige yesterday. We will NEVER back down. Trump is uniting the country-against him and his sleazy family. We will protect our rights.

Whatever happened to “Love trumps hate”? Trump and his family are far more classy than you’ll ever be, hypocrite. If you want to see sleazy, suggest you go look in the mirror.

This witch should have run for President with Pocahontas as her running mate. Meryl Streep as Secretary of State, Barbra Streisand as Secretary of Defense, Rosie as Secretary of Fat, Lady Gaga as Secretary of queers, etc.

  6. davcon says:

And this is the role model that our poor affected and offended Democratic woman look up to and follow. They are more confused and lost than I thought, how can we take their cause seriously. These washed up a-listers are using this platform as a means to get noticed again. If I was marching I would be furious Madonna shifted all the attention to Herself.

  7. Hawaii_Libertarian says:

Many marchers brought young keiki with them. When is dropping four F-bombs in a 5 minute speech broadcast live on national TV and talking about blowing up the White House ever acceptable behavior when young keiki are present?

Not surprisingly, other featured speakers were whack jobs and leftist extremists such as self-avowed Communist Angela Davis, Michael Moore, and Van Jones. Where are the apologies from the organizers for the profanity and vulgar and vile signs countless marchers carried? What hypocrisy–they criticized Trump for making lewd comments, but the signs the marchers carried made Trump seem like an angel by comparison.
