King Street bank branch robbed at gunpoint

Police are looking for a man who robbed the King Street branch of Bank of Hawaii at gunpoint this afternoon.

Police said the man entered the bank at 2470 S. King St. at 12:09 p.m. and handed the teller a demand note while displaying a handgun.

Police said he fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money in an unknown direction.

He is described as between 50 and 60 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall, about 180 pounds. He was wearing a black hoodie, a black Nike baseball cap and sunglasses.

Anyone with information about the robbery should call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME on a cell phone.
