Police are looking for a man who robbed the King Street branch of Bank of Hawaii at gunpoint this afternoon.
Police said the man entered the bank at 2470 S. King St. at 12:09 p.m. and handed the teller a demand note while displaying a handgun.
Police said he fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money in an unknown direction.
He is described as between 50 and 60 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall, about 180 pounds. He was wearing a black hoodie, a black Nike baseball cap and sunglasses.

Where is bank security? His gun is phony by the way. Bank robbery is just way too easy out here.
When was the last time you saw an armed bank security guard?
Bottom line: it’s much cheaper for the bank and less risky for innocent customers to let the miscreant leave the premises and go on his merry way. It’s a better than 90% chance he’ll be apprehended later anyway.
That’s a mean disguise. Would never have guessed he would rob the bank. Just a monitor.

Hmmm so SA names Kalihi when its N King and Iwelei but its closer to the China town/down town are. But won’t say McCully or Moiliili when it’s S King… Guess they don’t like the Kalihi area…
