High surf advisory issued for most islands

The National Weather Service issued a high surf advisory for north shores of Oahu, Molokai and Maui, north and west facing shores of Niihau and Kauai and east facing shores of the Big Island until 6 p.m. tonight.

A northeast swell will continue along east facing shores of the big island while a new northwest swell will produce advisory level surf along exposed north and west shores today.

Surf is expected to be between 10 and 15 feet along north and west facing shores of most islands and between 6 and 8 feet on the Big Island.
