Heavy rain and flash flood warnings have wreaked havoc on today’s Hawaii sports landscape.

The sports affected are:

>> State boys soccer postponed the Division I and II championship matches at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex “due to weather and unplayable field conditions.” Hawaii Preparatory Academy will face Saint Louis in the D-II title match Monday at 3 p.m. Punahou and Kaiser will play for the D-I championship at 6 p.m. Both matches are at Waipio. All consolation matches were canceled earlier today.

>> University of Hawaii baseball, which canceled its alumni game that had been scheduled for 1 p.m. today at Les Murakami Stadium. There will be no makeup date.

>> UH softball, which canceled all five games of the final day of the Paradise Classic at Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium.

>> Play between the U.S. and Germany has been suspended until Sunday morning at the Fed Cup at the Royal Lahaina Resort. American Coco Vandeweghe led Julia Goerges, 6-3, 3-1, when the match was stopped because of rain. Earlier today, American Alison Riske defeated Andrea Petkovic 7-6 (10), 6-2.

>> Hawaii Pacific’s softball game against Simon Fraser has been rescheduled to Sunday at noon at Howard A. Okita Field.

>> The Rainbow Wahine tennis team’s match against UC Davis has been rescheduled to Sunday at 8:30 a.m. at the UH Tennis Complex.

The indoor sports are scheduled to take place as planned, providing the heavy rain doesn’t cause structural damage.

Those sports include: the UH men’s and women’s basketball games at the Stan Sheriff Center; the OIA wrestling championship at Leilehua; and the ILH basketball championship at ‘Iolani. The state swimming championships also are being held today.
