What a awesome story again!!! It’s so hard to find your book. =(
They’re available at http://WWW.companieswekeep.com
When I lived in Waikiki in the1960s, there were many times the Kuhio” was a welcome place around the corner for Me to Visit. Loads of Popcorn consumed there.
Took my very first date in intermediate school to watch “Raiders of the Lost Ark” at Kuhio. Was not successful in getting a second date but enjoyed the movie and the theatre.
Please continue with your stories, such nostalgia!
I sort of recall seeing Dr. Zhivago at the Cinerama Theater, but that was so long ago and my memory of it, among other things, is pretty fuzzy. My favorite movie at the Kuhio was 2001 – A Space Odyssey. We were spaced out while watching it.
Thanks for another great story. Why do the old days always seem better?
