The 12th annual Hawai’i Book & Music Festival is currently looking for volunteers.

The 12th annual Hawai‘i Book & Music Festival is seeking 100 volunteers to sign up now for half-day shifts during the event May 6 and May 7.

“Volunteering at this free family festival is a great way to celebrate books and music in our community while meeting people and enjoying an atmosphere filled with music and words,” said Roger Jellinek, executive director of the festival.

Many volunteers, he added, return yearly to help staff stages and the information booth, guide authors and attendees, set up and clean up. All volunteers receive a festival T-shirt and snacks.
