Hawaii’s Ethan Lopez hustled back to first base during a rundown in the first inning of today’s game against the San Francisco Dons. Lopez was tagged out by San Francisco first baseman James Kannenberg.
The University of Hawaii baseball team scored three unearned runs and then held on for a 3-2 victory over San Francisco today at Les Murakami Stadium.
The Rainbow Warriors won the final two games to split this four-game series between non-conference opponents.
Jackson Rees earned the victory, allowing two runs in seven innings. Patrick Martin, who earned the save on Saturday, came back to pitch a scoreless eighth. Dylan Thomas pitched got the final three outs for the save.
The ‘Bows (3-4) depart Monday night for a tournament in Minnesota.
