Hawaii’s Jonathan Weeks was patted on the helmet by teammates after scoring during the third inning against Indiana.

Kekai Rios singled home the game-wining run with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning and Hawaii rallied from a six-run deficit to beat Indiana 11-10 this afternoon at Les Murakami Stadium.

Dylan Vchulek, who went 4-for-6, singled with two outs in the ninth. Johnny Weeks followed with a check-swing pop up that landed in shallow right field to put runners on the corners.

After a balk brought in the tying run, Rios singled over the head of Logan Sowers in right-center to end it.

UH improved to 11-8 with Indiana falling to 9-8-1. All four games in the series were within a run in the ninth inning.

Alex Fitchett, who finished 3-for-4 with four RBIs, cleared the bases with a three-run single in the bottom of the eighth inning after Hawaii trailed 10-4.

Casey Ryan (1-0) got the final two outs in the top of the ninth inning to earn the win in relief. Twelve different pitchers were used in the game.

Up next for the Rainbow Warriors is a four-game home series against San Jose State beginning Thursday.
