Family finds temporary home at church

    Lorenzo Allen and Malia Namakaeha say St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Wahiawa has been like a family to them, daring to extend care to them without judgment. The church invited the couple and their 6-month-old daughter, Mikiala, to live on the church’s sheltered lanai.

Members of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church were apprehensive about letting a homeless family live on church grounds but were compelled to do so because their baby girl has severe asthma. Read more
