Second victim identified in Kunia double fatal

The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the second man killed in a May 16 single-car crash in Kunia.

Hawaii resident Eddie Siren, 36, died of multiple blunt force injuries in the crash, according to the Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office. The manner of death was classified as an accident. The medical examiner’s office did not specify where in Hawaii Siren was a resident.

The other victim who died in the accident was previously identified as Andrew Ander, 32, also of Hawaii. The medical examiner’s office said he died of head injuries.

Police said the crash occurred on Kunia Road about a half-mile south of Kunia Drive. The Honda sedan the two were in was speeding on the roadway when the driver lost control, struck a metal guardrail, then a tree before overturning into the brush.

Police said Siren and Ander were ejected from the vehicle. It’s unclear who was driving.

An employee with Monsanto Hawaii discovered a mangled sedan at about 9 a.m., when police were called. The bodies of the two men were discovered a few feet away from the vehicle.
