Suspect arrested in Punchbowl home robbery

Police arrested one of three male suspects in connected with a brazen robbery at a home in Punchbowl.

A 25-year-old man was arrested Wednesday morning at Kapolei Marketplace on suspicion of first-degree robbery, three counts of kidnapping, impersonating a law enforcement officer, first-degree burglary and two counts of criminal contempt of court.

The two other male suspects remain at large.

The robbery occurred at about 12:35 a.m. on May 17 at a Kamamalu Avenue residence. Police said the three suspects knocked on the door and claimed to be police officers.

After one of the residents opened the door, the suspects bound three residents with duct tape and stole cash, designer bags and jewelry at gunpoint before they fled.
